Online Course Offering

Pharmacy Technician Program

This comprehensive course will prepare students to enter the pharmacy field and take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Course content includes pharmacy medical terminology, reading and interpreting prescriptions and defining generic and brand names drugs and much, much more! The program also includes an optional clinical externship at a local healthcare provider!

Clinical Medical Assistant

This program prepares students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical aspects of a medical office. Instruction includes preparing patients for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures, pharmacology, taking and documenting vital signs, technical aspects of phlebotomy, the 12-lead EKG and the cardiac life cycle.

Medical Billing & Coding

This billing and coding course delivers the skills students need to solve insurance billing and coding problems. It details proper assignment of codes and the process to file claims for reimbursement. With the transition to ICD-10, effective as of October 1, 2015, this course will also provide training in ICD-10-CM. This course also covers: An overview of the healthcare and insurance industry,  the organization and use of the ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS manuals to identify correct codes, CPT (Introduction, Guidelines, Evaluation and Management) and specialty fields such as surgery, radiology and laboratory.

Medical Administrative Assistant Program

This program covers information on the medical assisting profession, interpersonal skills, medical ethics and law, medical terminology, basics of insurance billing and coding, telephone techniques, scheduling appointments, medical records management and management of practice finances. A great course for physicians medical office professionals!

GED Prep Comprehensive

The GED® Prep Comprehensive course is an interactive learning experience designed to help students achieve success on the GED® test.  Preparing for the GED® test may seem like a daunting task.  The Workforce Readiness: GED® Prep Comprehensive course offers students a useful and easy-to-follow guide through all five of the content areas covered on the GED® test:  language arts; writing and reading; social studies; science; and mathematics.

Microsoft Excel

The MS Excel course will introduce students to the ease and functionality of Excel spreadsheets to store, manipulate, analyze and visualize data in a variety of ways. Students will learn the benefits of working with MS Excel, how to create and format Excel worksheets and how to navigate through MS Excel, customize the toolbar to suit their needs, create basic worksheets by entering text, create basic formulas using MS Excel functions, and apply certain formatting functions for creating professional-looking spreadsheets.
